From the Director General of the Guardia Civil.

FREQUENTLY SCAMS:

Lottery Scam.
Trileros.
The Tocomocho.
The prayer cards.
The Nazarene.
The Installer.
The incurable.
Internet Scams.

The authors performed a mass emails sent to addresses obtained from the Internet, which use both multilateral logos fraudulently: national lottery ("Loteria Primitiva," "El Gordo de la Primitiva," "National Lottery," etc.). As invented ("National Lotto" and the like), which state that the receiver has been graced with the first prize (he's a millionaire), although the alleged victim has not participated in any kind of drawing (which is told been selected randomly through your email address, or between those who have visited certain Web pages or similar explanations).

The only requirement is needed to collect the hefty reward is the pack of a sum of money in payment of taxes, duties, fees, or similar, making it easy for a bank account or applying for a transfer through Western Union . It also often authors use the logos of insurance companies or bank of prestige or even a ministry to "ensure" the authenticity of messages and therefore the collection of the prize. Also contact telephone and fax numbers correspond to mobile phones with prepaid card.

Once the victim has entered the amount of money requested, the scam is consumed, and becomes no longer heard from the authors.

Trileros.

The scam is to encourage public participation by betting money on games of skill that apparently allows great potential for participating, and which are offered on a public street, on a small table. The game used is to find out where lies a ball that is covered by a metal or glass. To make the game seem easier, about the person who moves the plates or vessels (which runs the game), one or several "fake players" (hooks), which make money easily agree with the person that moves the plates. At first, allow the person to win the game starts, so that, encouraged by the success, play a significant amount. The hand is quicker than the eye, so that when the amount is significant, the victim loses irretrievably his money. It is common at fairs and markets.

The Tocomocho.

The scam usually develops transit sites (stations, ATMs, etc.). By a person approaching the victim states have a winning lottery ticket and that the rush can not collect. Desperately asks the victim pay him the prize amount or even less, since due to travel to do can not collect. To give more credibility interrupts another apparent bystander (hook) often assert the authenticity of displaying a list of prize winning tickets in a newspaper. The victim agrees to provide the amount of prize money and when he goes to retrieve the window of the ticket lottery check is fake.

The prayer cards.

The victim (the citizen) is approached by a person who appears to have some intellectual disability (con 1). It teaches you a bag full of money seems, may even be some. 1 The scammer does not give any importance to what has been telling the victim that the bag has "holy pictures" or "stickers" and that house has many more. At this point interrupts another apparent citizen [swindler who makes hook (crook 2)], which gives the victim the ability to fool the scammer 1 buying a bag of money. However, the hook, says he has no money to participate in the "purchase" of the bag. However encourages the victim to make the purchase because of the large benefits it will report "misleading" the scammer 1. Even the hook is provided to accompany the victim to seek money, so that has no hitch. Once the victim embodies the "buy" money by giving away the two swindlers bag. When the victim opened the bag containing checks that no tickets but scraps of paper pads.

The Nazarene.

Victims of the scam are companies that supply goods. The scammers are installed in a rented warehouse on behalf of a company. They begin to make small orders, which are stored in the warehouse and are paid in the event supply companies. In this way the scammers gain the trust of the victims. Then make large orders for goods, telling suppliers that are going to make payments in installments. You can even get to meet the first of such payments. Suddenly, instead the company disappears, taking merchandise and leaving pay outstanding debts. When utility companies ripped off want to make arrangements to run the check collection company that made them no orders.

Installer.

Scammers are people in the home of the victim. They wear overalls. We present saying that they are employees of the gas installation company and coming to a review of the facility. They appear to make several technical papers, normally limited to change a piece of gas hose. Extend work completed invoice. When the victim says the case with other people found to have been defrauded by false installers.

The incurable.

Typically carried out by visiting the home of the victim. The scammer poses as a person who is in dire economic straits, with serious family problems tell if a woman has been abandoned, which has many children and so on. In any case trying to affect the sensitivity of the victim. Eventually, the scammer explains that in order to survive is proceeding to liquidate their most treasured possessions. At this time displays a personal item (wristwatch expensive brand, necklace, ring, etc.). Saying it is a precious jewel, very valuable. Give the object to change in a very low price compared to what he says is worth. When the victim agrees to purchase the object proves to be a bargain.

Internet Scams.

New Modus Operandi-scam in the purchase of vehicles by INTERNET.

It has been observed in several web pages dedicated to the sale of vehicles between two new systems particular scam:

The first is that one person from another country is interested in an advertised car, but not for himself but for an acquaintance. The fact is that the third party would be willing to pay a much higher amount of money requested by the seller, so the alleged con man writing a check to the vehicle owner for the amount of money offered by your name and you have to welcome to the seller is to make a transfer, money order, or via Western Union, by the amount of money from the difference (except maybe a possible compensation for the trouble). The seller of the vehicle receives the check and take it to your bank, it picks it up (it's a real check, there is no reason to suspect), so who then makes the transfer of the agreed amount. After a short space of time is warned by the bank that the account entered in the check bounces or does not exist, so one hand does not have the money and otherwise bespoken already lost the amount transferred. The vehicle does not change hands at any time.

In the second method is the buyer who is cheated. The alleged dealer says he does not mind sending the vehicle to the residence of the buyer, but that change will only want to know if it actually has the money and is not a hoax, so I asked to make a transfer by Western Union but putting a fictitious name as beneficiary, and the scammer might see on the website of this company actually made the payment, but can not access the money. Once seen it will send the vehicle within 2 or 3 days. The scam is that the buyer by an appropriate document counterfeiters have made-up several days to charge the money without sending any vehicle.

ARE ANY MAGICIANS REALLY MILLIONAIRES?

ARE ANY MAGICIANS REALLY MILLIONAIRES?

From an elegant suite in New York’s legendary Waldorf-Astoria hotel, Steve Cohen has been distinguishing himself as a state-of-the-art magician and mind reader. Performing for celebrities, royalty, government officials, and other VIP’s, he pulls off his illusions with intensity and class—and has received widespread media recognition and praise.

Yes, some magicians may really be millionaires! And many magicians are just ordinary people who enjoy performing magic tricks, often for children, benefits, churches, and such. These magicians are not millionaires, but they have a lot of satisfaction from their job, if one can call it a job! It’s more like a hobby!

There is a lot of hype about “How to become a Millionaire,” both in the media and on the Internet. If it’s all that easy, why isn’t EVERYONE already a millionaire? Those who have been selling all this hype, have now turned to the field of magic, claiming that this is the latest way to go! As usual, it’s the same old hype, only it’s re-packaged into something more appealing to the dreamers who buy it. Most of these “plans” don’t make too much mention of the hard work involved in learning the “magic business,” booking the magic acts, the costs of travel, or any of that “negative stuff.” Most of them dwell instead on how easy it is to make those millions! Come on, folks, give us a break!

As in most fields of endeavor, there are those at the top who are millionaires, some many times over. And there are those at the bottom who are just barely struggling along to make ends meet. As usual, “there is no free lunch!” The sooner we quit dreaming and go to work on something, whether it is magic or a day job, the better off we will be. And those who package and sell this hype, will have to find a “NEW” trick to put up their sleeve!

Car Financing

Car Financing

When financing a classic car purchase, your best option is to choose a specialty lender that deals with classic cars and collector cars. You will likely find a better interest rate, longer loan terms, and go through less work than if you choose a typical lender. This article will show you how to finance a classic car purchase, and what pitfalls to look out for.

The main reason to shop around specialty car loan lenders is that you will have to go through less hassle. These lenders deal with classic and collector car loans all the time, and they can help guide you through the purchase. Standard lenders sometimes use the Kelley Blue Book or NADA price guides for classic cars and that just won’t work, especially for hot rods and other customs or special editions. Having original parts and other unique options on a collector car can add value, and specialty lenders understand this. Specialty lenders can also extend the loan term, sometimes up to 12 to 15 years depending on the amount being requested. Typical auto lenders generally go up to five years.

Before you even start the loan process, you will want to check your credit score. If your FICA score is around 600 or lower, you may have a difficult time getting a loan. Anything in the 600’s and you may qualify, but you may have a higher interest rate. Anything above 700 and you should have no problems securing a loan, plus you will get the added benefit of having a lower interest rate. Any lender will require 20 percent down on a classic car loan, and usually 30 percent for a hot rod.

Most specialty lenders do not require you to have a car ready for purchase before applying for the loan. You generally have 30 to 60 days after being approved to find a car, otherwise you may need to go through the approval process again. When determining the loan amount, do not forget about the hidden costs of purchasing a collector car. Odds are, especially if you are looking for a certain model, color, option, etc. that you will not find it in your area. The Internet can be a great tool in helping you find the exact car you are looking for, but that car is probably in another state or region, requiring travel and transportation. You may want to travel to see the car, which will cost money, and you will need to transport it back if you do not want to drive it. Depending on how far away the car is, driving it may not be an option due to strict insurance restrictions. All this may be able to be rolled into the loan amount. Talk to your lender about these options.

Many lenders require an inspection of the car by a qualified inspector. The lender will be able to help with this, since they probably have certain inspectors they require you to use. Many buyers choose to have their car inspected before purchase anyhow, so make sure you talk to the lender before deciding on an inspection company. If the inspector you choose is not certified by your lender, you may be required to purchase another inspection, costing hundreds of dollars more.

Even if you have the money saved to buy a collector car outright, it may be in your best interest to pursue a classic car loan. Over the last 15 to 20 years, the value of collector and classic cars have gone up sharply, sometimes 10 percent or more a year. Considering a classic car loan is probably 6 percent or so, this makes borrowing the money an investment. But be careful during these economic down times and do your research. Rare and original models are still going up in value, but clones and other mid-models are not rising in value as fast as they once did. This could change at anytime though.

There is no better feeling than driving around in your new classic car. Hopefully this article will help you in securing a low interest loan, and speed up the process so you can drive around town in your new ride, rather than dealing with headaches you may have by going through a typical lending company.

Realtor Referrals - The Greatest Mortgage Marketing Strategy

Realtor Referrals - The Greatest Mortgage Marketing Strategy

When it comes to working in mortgage brokering or lending, realtor referrals are the mother's milk. They are the best way to get a good sale, they offer you leads that are qualified in their own ways, and they are usually the easiest sales you make. There are, though, a number of different types of referrals, and each one of them can help you. Consider some of the types of referrals that you may be able to get for your mortgage business.

About Customer Referrals

The referrals that most mortgage professionals pursue with the most vigor are the customer referrals. These are referrals generated by customers you have already served. These people are happy with the service you provided, and in turn have told friends or relatives about you. That way, when they are in the market for a mortgage, you are their first phone call. These are great referrals because they rarely provide you with any competition. When they arrive at your door, they are ready to work on their mortgage and get going.

Because of that, customer referrals are usually strongly encouraged. The mortgage professionals send out letters, and may even offer incentives to the customer who sends them a mortgage. The incentive can be monetary or some sort of product.

Referrals From Friends and Loved Ones

They may not count for a lot of your business, but a mortgage professional should be able to count on their friends and their family for referrals. When someone, anyone in your group of friends or family, is in the market for a mortgage, you would likely be the first one they call. Again, the competition is little but the quality is not always as good as with a customer referral.

With a family or friend referral, you will end up getting everyone they know who ever thought about a mortgage. The referrals may or may not even qualify for the mortgages. However, in the mortgage business it is all about numbers, so you take them anyway.

Advertising Referrals

Sometimes your referrals come from advertising. For instance, many mortgage professionals offer incentives to those who apply for a mortgage. The incentive may be an award, money, a coupon, or anything else that could push someone over the edge in terms of applying for a mortgage.

Internet Referrals

There are also internet referrals. Potential mortgage customers find online forms to fill out for prequalification for a mortgage. When they fill out the form, the information is fed to you so that you can then take that and turn it into your lead.

These referrals are pretty good because you are getting the prequalification information up front. Before you even make a phone call you will likely already know if the referral is worth your pursuit. With internet referrals you can even go all the way to targeting certain sizes and types of mortgage. In a way, the internet referral is the most reliable, if not the most common, to come across your desk.

Real Estate Mortgage Referrals

Then there are the referrals from real estate agents. These are referrals that come from Realtors helping people buy new homes. They already know that the people are interested, and by the time they get to you, it is just about getting them qualified. These are great referrals because they are fairly well qualified and fed right to you.

These types of referrals are exactly why it is important to find ways to partner up with real estate agents. There are a number of ways to do this, and a number of advantages to it. Besides allowing you free access to a number of leads, it also allows you access to the best customers in the mortgage industry: first timers.

When you are in the mortgage business, turning renters into buyers is the best way to make money. When you partner up with the right real estate agent, you will get all of the renters turned buyers you can handle. The key is simply to find a program that will help you do just that. When you find such a program, your real estate mortgage referrals can go up significantly, which makes your income go up.

Referrals Wrapped

In the end, it doesn't matter what kind of referrals you get; referrals are the best leads you get. Then, of those great leads, there are the best of the best which is the real estate mortgage referral. With these, you can find yourself with renters turned buyers, first timers, and many other customers that are ready to have you help them buy that dream home.
